This image of Rev. Paul Schmelzer is from an original Polaroid snapshot, the date and photographer unknown. Apparently, a half-century ago, Rev. Schmelzer worked tirelessly to bring attention to the "Catholic validity" of the Altar Rock at Sauk Lake. Longhand description of the photo: "Rev.
